I am not a tennis player or avid swimmer, but the the resources that exist in the town today, built despite the same protests from the same people have been a tremendous asset to the town and the rink will be no different. Having these wonderful resources and schools for the town's children leads to the betterment of everyone's community. This is an unequivocal fact that has stood the test of time throughout the United States.

Seems like a easy decision - with such limited ice time in the area!

An ice rink in New Canaan would make a great addition to the wonderful amenities available to town residents

Please feel free to contact me with any questions about the work NC Rink inc has done to evaluate the possibility for a community ice rink for New Canaan.
A ICE RINK AT WAVENY PARK WOULD BE GREAT FOR THE NOT ONLY THE TOWN OF NEW CANAAN BUT DARIEN AS WELL. WHY SHOULD WE HAVE TO SKATE OUR HIGH SCHOOL AND OTHER PROGRAMS HAVE TO SKATE AT SHELTON WHEN WE COULD SKATE AT HOME ON A PRIVATELY FUNDED RINK. DON'T LOOK A GIFT HORSE IN THE MOUTH!

The Town of New Canaan should have facilities that meet the needs of the community. There is enough interest to justify a rink and the section of the park that is proposed is perfect. The impact on neighbors is minimal and the train tracks and mulch pile border the property...... The rink would take up less than 1% of the wavney area and is sited in an unused section of the park that isnt particularly pretty to look at.
