Blod-Batcha
Lindsey Margaret Blod met Lee Hunter Batcha through mutual friends at a January 2004 birthday party in New York City. Two-and-a-half years later, during a walk on the beach near her grandparents’ home on Cape Cod, where she spent childhood summers, Lee proposed.

The couple was married by the Reverends Jon-Paul Gallant and Lidabell Lunt Pollard at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Chatham, Massachusetts. A reception followed at Eastward Ho! Country Club.

The wedding theme echoed the sights and sounds of the Cape. Groomsmen sported Cape Cod patterned ties, and the wedding cake was decorated with shells. Starfish with guests names and table assignments were in a box surrounded by sand from the beach where Lee proposed. Table arrangements of pink, peach and melon-colored roses mirrored the setting sun, which greeted guests as they sat down for the late afternoon dinner.

The bride is a 1996 graduate of New Canaan High School.

She received a bachelor’s degree in Spanish language and literature from Northwestern University. She is a consumer marketing consultant for Parenting Magazine. Her parents are Frank and Marcie Blod of New Canaan.
The groom received a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Vermont School of Business Administration and is a sales trader with Tradition-Asiel Securities in New York City. His parents are Frank and Judith Batcha of Pennington, New Jersey.

After a honeymoon trip on the Hawaiian islands of Kauai and Maui, the couple returned home to Hoboken, New Jersey.
