Hutton-Rogers
Anne Gallison Hutton and Matthew Charles Rogers met in 2005 at the Hunt, a steeplechase in Far Hills, New Jersey. They were introduced by a classmate of Anne’s from Roland Park Country School in Baltimore, Maryland, and her husband, Christopher Alworth, a classmate of Matt’s from Gettysburg College. Later that night Matt took Anne on their first date, to Café Luxemburg on the Upper West Side of Manhattan, where a little over a year later, he would propose.

Although somewhat disappointed to miss the 2007 Hunt, the couple decided to hold their wedding that day, marking their two-year anniversary. They were married at the Congregational Church of New Canaan by Harold E. Mosbach III; a reception followed at the Country Club of New Canaan.

The bride graduated from Trinity College in Hartford with a bachelor’s degree in English. During her junior year of high school she lived in Rennes, France, and while in her second semester at Trinity, she attended the University of Cape Town in South Africa. She is a financial representative at Northwestern Mutual in New York City. Her parents are Georgie and Edward B. Hutton Jr. of Vero Beach, Florida, and Santa Fe, New Mexico.

The groom is the son of Jayne and Bob Rogers of New Canaan. He received a bachelor’s degree from Gettysburg College in business management and until recently was a trader with Amajac Capital in Stamford. While in college he was a teaching assistant in astronomy and captain of the men’s lacrosse team.

The couple makes their home in New Canaan.
