Janik-Chaisson
On a summer night in 2005, Cassin Elizabeth Janik gathered a few friends together for an evening of cocktails on the water in Stamford. Scott Robert Chaisson was also out, with a group of coworkers and clients. As fate would have it, they ended up at the same place, and Cassin introduced herself to Scott and his friends. A year later, during a trip to Block Island, he proposed.
Father Frank C. McGrath married the couple at St. John’s Church in Darien. A reception followed at the Country Club of New Canaan.
The bride is the daughter of Anton Janik of Scottsdale, Arizona, and Diane Johnson of Marblehead, Massachusetts. She received a bachelor’s degree in business from Babson College and a master’s in business administration from Duke University. She is a brand manager at Unilever in Greenwich.
The groom is the son of Robert and Therese Chaisson of New Canaan. He graduated from New Canaan High School in 1991 and received a bachelor’s degree in sociology from Lehigh University. He is a vice president of global prime services at Royal Bank of Canada in New York City.
After a honeymoon trip to Paris and Greece, the couple returned home to New Canaan.
