Zitani & Malone
During her freshman year of college, jennifer Anne Zitani was introduced to Brendan James Malone at a Tau Kappa Epsilon party. However, they didn’t start dating until her sophomore year, when Brendan asked Jenny to his senior formal. Six years later, while enjoying gelato after an Italian dinner at Jennifer’s favorite Manhattan restaurant, Brendan proposed.

The couple was married by Father Dempsey Acosta at the Church of Saint Agnes in New York City. Dinner and dancing followed at the Yale Club. The day began with an extra dose of excitement when heavy traffic from the New York City Marathon forced the bride and her parents to forgo the limousine ride and instead walk from the Yale Club to the church in order to be on time for the ceremony. After the services the entire wedding party opted to walk to the reception at the Yale Club, using Grand Central Station as short cut, while tourists cheered and snapped photographs.

The daughter of Ronald and Marion Zitani of New Canaan, the bride is a 1999 graduate of New Canaan High School. She earned a bachelor’s degree in political science with a minor in women’s studies from Gettysburg College, where she was a member of the Delta Gamma sorority. She is a marketing manager with Ann Taylor in New York City.

The groom is the son of Michael and Beverly Malone of Darien. He graduated from Darien High School in 1997 and received a bachelor’s degree in business management from Gettysburg. He is a credit derivatives broker with BGC Partners, a fixed-income brokerage firm within Cantor Fitzgerald in New York City.

After a ten-day honeymoon at the Eden Rock Resort on St. Bart’s, the couple returned home to Manhattan’s East Side.
